I waited 4 episodes to really immerse myself in this for a long time. The goal was to give myself the opportunity to appreciate the gift that several A-list actors gave us who contributed to the creation of this work, which, despite mixed reviews, is enjoyable and widely acclaimed. Many viewers have been told stories from similar perspectives, but this spectacle remains exciting here as it processes a more confusing but well-stitched plot with female leads, each confidently capturing our attention when they appear. We can’t tell halfway through whether this sense of urgency as we discover more and more of what’s happening will stay at its current level, but given the subject matter, the budget, and the talent pool they were able to bring this to the screen, it’s going to be hard to miss the landing, especially given the series’ solid foundation.
